About the company:
PatrickGeorge is a husband-and-wife team who write, illustrate and publish picture books for children. Peter, a.k.a. Patrick George, also illustrates for a wide range of clients from Microsoft to GQ magazine.
They set up in 2009 after moving from London to Ramsgate, Kent. Their first two books, ‘A drove of bullocks’ and ‘A filth of starlings’ attracted some great reviews and ‘A filth of starlings’ was nominated for the prestigious Kate Greenaway Award that same year.
Since then, they have published 14 more titles, have sold translation rights in 14 languages and been shortlisted for design awards for their popular series of concept books: Opposites, Colours, Shapes and Numbers. These books make use of a simple graphic printed onto a transparent page which, when flipped from right to left, magically transforms the image underneath.
Their latest book, ‘Oh No!’ allows the reader to control the action using the same technique. Their next book, ‘When I grow up…’ also with transparent pages, is out in October 2013.
Peter Scott (a.k.a. Patrick George) shares his thoughts regarding his recent order from Print-Print…
“We needed some marketing leaflets printed quickly and cost-effectively. We use bright, strong colours in our illustrations and we wanted the leaflets to be vibrant and reflect the high quality of our books. Print-print lived up to our expectations. We were delighted with their quality and efficiency. We will definitely use them again.”
